Martin’s Here to Stay – Hopefully
If you’re looking for a traditional family owned place with political legacy, then Martin’s Tavern in Georgetown is your to-go place.
There is a bi-partisan booth (LBJ, Nixon and apparently where JFK proposed to Jackie!) that any patron can sit in and try to reminisce what Washington, DC was like back in the 1970s.
The food was nothing to rave about (pricing equivalent to other dining in the immediate area), but it’s one of the new places that has continued to survive in the Georgetown district. A real establishment with a rich history to dine in.
Also, for all those with an office job or want to improve your posture, here are reminders.
